Area Librarians To Discuss Web 2.0 Technologies

Wayne State student chapters of SOLIS and ALA are hosting an evening with area librarians to encourage practitioners and current students to learn how local institutions are using Web 2.0 technologies. This free event is open to the public and audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists. 

The "Libraries and Web 2.0 Panel Discussion" will feature moderator, Mike Sensiba, Wayne State's Next Gen Librarian, and the following panelists:

  • Annette Healy, Librarian, WSU Science & Engineering Library
  • Alicia Biggers, Senior Data Research Supervisor, Ford Motor Company
  • Paul Neirink, Digital Resources Specialist, WSU Reuther Archives
  • Eli Neiburger, Associate Director, IT & Product Development, Ann Arbor District Library

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Bernath Auditorium at the Undergraduate Library on the campus of Wayne State University. A reception will follow in the Community Room on the 3rd floor of the library.
