Where can I get the Microsoft software I need for my courses?
While class is in session, currently enrolled SIS students have access to free Microsoft software through Microsoft Azure Dev Tools.
What are some titles that are available through Microsoft Azure?
Some popular Microsoft titles available include Access 2016, SQL, Visio, Windows 10 OS, and Visual Studio. Please note that Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are not included in Microsoft Azure.
Where can I get a free copy of Microsoft Office?
Currently registered Wayne State students and most current full-time Wayne State employees are eligible to receive a free, full copy of Microsoft Office via Wayne Connect.
How do I get access to/register my Microsoft Azure account?
In order to use and download software from Microsoft Azure, all you need to do is sign in using your Wayne ID. During the first week of classes of the first semester that a student is enrolled in the SIS, a Microsoft Azure account is created for them.
How do I download and install software from Microsoft Azure using Windows OS and Mac?

What are my responsbilities using Microsoft Azure to upgrade or install a new Operating System?
Upgrading or installing a new OS such as Windows 10 may also involve changing hardware drivers, upgrading other applications to be compatible, or even finding that upgraded applications or drivers are not yet available. It is your responsibility to be aware of these factors. If you are not sure, get some advice from the maker of your computer/software or another authoritative source before proceeding.
How do I change/what if I forget my Microsoft Azure password?
Your Microsoft Azure password is the same as your Wayne State Canvas and Academica password.

What software do I have access to through Wayne State University?
The C&IT Help Desk provides free and discounted software to current students, faculty and staff for academic, departmental and personal use. Software is offered through the Wayne State University Software Clearinghouse.
