Software for SIS Students
Currently, enrolled students in the School of Information Sciences are eligible for free software for use toward the completion of the MLIS and Graduate Certificates.
- Microsoft Office 365 Download Site - Microsoft Office for your Mac or PC, available to all Wayne State Students.
- Microsoft Azure Dev Tools - (formerly called Microsoft Imagine) - Windows OS, Visio, Expression Studio, and other Microsoft software.
- Wayne State University Software Clearinghouse - Free and discounted software for Wayne State students.

C&IT Knowledge Base
C&IT provides an extensive, easy to use Knowledge Base with articles and tutorials that will answer many of your questions related to Passwords, Academica, Wayne Connect, and other technology resources.
What and Who is SIS Tech?
Technology is a crucial component of each SIS class. In order for SIS students to be successful, they must have daily access to a computer and the Internet throughout their time in the program. All incoming students must meet the School's computer competencies, as well as its minimum computer hardware and software requirements before the first day of class.
The SIS Tech Help Desk is staffed by an IT GSA and a student Tech Assistant who are ready to provide School-related technology support for SIS students, faculty and staff during its hours of operation.* Please refer to our tutorials and/or FAQs for immediate self-help.
In-person tech support, DMPL access, and student group meetings all require a reservation be made in advance.
All SIS students, faculty and staff should report issues/requests to SIS Tech by submitting a SIS Tech Support Request web form located below. SIS Tech will respond to issues/requests with a service ticket within 24-48 hours.*
