Joint Degree Program Admissions
Applicants to the joint Master of Library and Information Science and MA in History (MLIS/MA) and Master of Library and Information Science and MA in Public History (MLIS/MAPH) programs must be admitted to both the School of Information Sciences and the Department of History. Applicants must apply to each program separately. It is not possible to apply to both programs at the same time (or for the same semester) through the standard graduate admissions application.
- Students who want to apply to the MLIS program first should follow the School of Information Sciences admissions procedures. After they are accepted and have begun their first semester, they should follow the instructions found in the Department of History graduate handbook for applying to the MA and MAPH programs, and additionally submit a completed Change of Status form in the "additional materials" field of the online application.
