Alumna Features Metro Area Libraries in New Television Show
Through her new cable television show, Library Highlights, Rita Sol, LibSci '06 alumna, is supporting Michigan libraries by providing a venue to highlight the expansive resources and services of metro area libraries. Sol hosts and interviews local librarians on the weekly, 30 minute program that airs on the Bloomfield Township community cable BCTV network. Each show includes commentary on why librarians entered the profession, the services and resources they offer their communities as well as commentary on the future direction of libraries.
Past libraries featured on the show include Oakland County Libraries, Oakland Community College Libraries and the Walsh College Vollbrecht Library. Library Highlights airs at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Upcoming guests include Caryn Noel, Director of the Adam Cardinal Maida Alumni Library; Allison McKeller, Director of the Rochester College Hamm Library; and Linea Dudley from Marygrove College.
