Dr. Mika attends LIS Study Tour in Germany

The Goethe-Institut New York, in cooperation with Bibliothek & Information International (BII), organized a study tour for six faculty members of North American LIS schools (USA and Canada). The purpose of this study tour is to encourage a stronger collaboration between German and North American LIS schools and to initiate student exchange programs. The participants will have the opportunity to visit three or four German LIS schools in Stuttgart, Köln, Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig and Hamburg.

Professor Dr. Joseph Mika was selected to participate in a LIS study tour in Germany on May 24 - 30, 2009. The Goethe-Institut New York, in cooperation with Bibliothek & Information International (BII), organized this study tour for six faculty members of North American LIS schools (USA and Canada). The purpose of this study tour is to encourage a stronger collaboration between German and North American LIS schools and to initiate student exchange programs. The participants will have the opportunity to visit three or four German LIS schools in Stuttgart, Köln, Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig and Hamburg.

Other participants in the program include Nora Bird, Univ. of North-Carolina-Greensboro, Nancy Everhart of Florida State University, Leslie Farmer of California State University-Long Beach, Scott Nicholson of Syracuse University, Jane Pearlmutter of University of Wisconsin-Madison and Debbie Rabina of the Pratt Institute.
