School of Information Sciences faculty member Dr. Timothy Bowman will be the keynote presenter at the Altmetric Symposium on June 20, 2018 from 11am - 4pm EDT.

The free teleconference event will feature Dr. Bowman, members of the Altmetric staff, and other LIS professionals, speaking on many aspects of altmetrics and the use of Altmetric products.

Dr. Bowman's area of research interest includes applying social, psychological, linguistic, and philosophical theories and methods to the study of scholarly communication, altmetrics, open science, the academic reward system, and the presentation of self in online environments.
