The history of the music composed, recorded, and performed in the Motor City is best told by the people who lived it. In 2015, Wayne State School of Information Sciences students set out to record oral histories from Detroit musicians in all genres. The Detroit Music Oral Histories Project provides a personal perspective on the music that moves us and preserves the histories of Detroit's finest musicians.

On Tuesday, August 7, at 7:00 PM, Kim Schroeder, SIS faculty member and project lead, will share the work and findings of the project at the Baldwin Public Library in Birmingham, Michigan.
