The School welcomed its new advisory board members to campus at the end of April. A variety of professionals were invited to serve on the board and represent many facets of the LIS field. These areas of expertise include school library media, academic and public librarianship as well as publishing and library vendors.

LIS students Katrina Byrne, Emily Gibson and Paul Gallagher shared their experiences with the board while faculty discussed reaccreditation, technology initiatives and strategic goals. An open discussion allowed members to ask questions and provide advice from their professional experiences to help guide the School.
