Wayne State School of Information Sciences Associate Dean Dr. Stephen Bajjaly has been elected as president of the Association for Library and Information Science Educators (ALISE). Dr. Bajjaly will join the ALISE Board of Directors as president-elect in February 2018 at the annual conference in Denver and assume the presidency in 2019.

Dr. Bajjaly joins the ranks of two other members of the SIS community who have served as ALISE president: Patricia Knapp served as president in 1970-71 and Genevieve Casey served in 1979-80.
