SIS student, alumni join MLA Board of Directors

The Michigan Library Association has announced the results of its recent election for the organization’s board of directors. Four of the five new members are from Wayne State’s School of Information Sciences. Tashia Miller, a reference and outreach librarian for Washtenaw Community College, was elected as American Library Association Councilor. Angela Badke, tribal librarian for the Ojibwa Community Library; Sophia Ward Brewer, a serials and collection librarian for Grand Rapids Community College; and Christine Peele, a brand manager for the Detroit Public Library, were elected as Members-at-Large to serve three-year terms, beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2025.
