Tired of seeing negative images of Detroit in their online searches, members of the Rock Media Library Digital Asset Management team (many of whom are SLIS alumni), created DetroitStockCity.com.

The site offers photography of Detroit taken by Rock Venture photographers and shares them with the public for non-commercial use.

The founding team includes Amber Farrell (SLIS student), Ashley Servis (MLIS student), Kevin Yezbick (MLIS '06) Stephanie York (MLIS '15), Kiron Johnson (MLIS '16), Perie Kline, and Jason Ulsh.
