SLIS Student Chosen for 2012 ALA Student-to-Staff Program

Congratulations to SLIS student Amy VanSlocum, who was selected as WSU's Student-to-Staff representative at this year's ALA Annual conference to be held from June 21-26 in Anaheim, California. Forty ALA Student Chapter members were nominated by their schools and were accepted to assist ALA staff during the 2012 ALA Annual Conference. In exchange for working four hours a day (or a total of 20 hours), these students participating in the ALA Student to Staff Program receive free conference registration, housing, and a per diem for meal expenses. During free time, they may attend programs and participate in other conference activities.
