SLIS Student Project: History of the Book - Mein Kampf

Today, we have an outstanding student project by WSU School of Library and Information Science student, JC Brown, in the form of a vlog. Check out the fascinating history of this controversial book:
Author's note: The topic of Mein Kampf was selected for the purposes of a case study for the course "History of Books, Printing, and Publishing" (LIS 7790). I selected the topic because I have always been intrigued by World War II and more recently censorship and intellectual freedom issues during the Third Reich. I'd like to let the record reflect that I am neither a fan of Adolf Hitler nor any associated political ideologies.

Update: On April 25, 2012, BBC News announced that the State of Bavaria will be publishing an edition of Mein Kampf in the near future in hopes of "demystifying" the book.

What did you think? Have any questions for JC? Leave us your comments below!
