Wiki Data Meeting Happens December 6

Join the NDSA, ASIS&T, and SAA student groups December 6th at 5:30pm in 315 Purdy/Kresge Library for a special presentation from Wikidata.

The Wikidata group will be discussing some of their exciting new initiatives to get students to use data with the Wiki platforms. You use Wikipedia every day, whether it's to settle that debate with your friend over dinner or to give you an overview of a topic that comes up in your studies. But how much do you know about the fifth most visited website in the world?

In this session, Wiki Education's LiAnna Davis will be on campus to explain how Wikipedia works - and how you can help contribute knowledge to the world through the Wikimedia platforms. Bring your burning questions about Wikipedia, and we'll give you answers!

Come early and enjoy coco, tea, coffee, and light refreshments with other students and faculty from SIS!

You can attend online as well: https://canvas.wayne.edu/courses/35228/conferences
