Amber Case (they/she)

 As a student, Case (formerly Harrison) worked for Wayne State's School of Information Sciences in a variety of roles, including office assistant and library circulation assistant and is now working as an Academic Services Officer for the school. They also will serve in the newly created role of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Coordinator for SIS and as a representative for the school on the university's campus-wide DEI Council.

Case is a four-time Wayne State degree recipient. They earned a bachelor’s degree in music education in 2012, a Master of Arts in music history, literature and theory in 2015 and most recently is a 2021 graduate of the Master of Library and Information Science/Master of Arts in Public History dual degree program, where they specialized in archives, gender, sexuality, and women studies, and Detroit history.

  • Coordinating course scheduling
  • Enrollment management (registration, waitlists, overrides)
  • Overseeing and coordinating part-time faculty
  • Coordinating the school's diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives  
  • Supervising the DEI Graduate Student Assistant position
  • Graduation assessment coordinator
  • Managing the faculty syllabi archive
  • Acting as the school's student evaluation of teaching (SET) coordinator
  • Serving as the textbook/bookstore liaison
  • Providing academic advising to students
  • Student Disability Services liaison
