My name is Michele Zmich. I am a middle school English teacher. I have been teaching for six years now. Previously I was an early childhood educator. I love everything about reading and books. My grandmother was a librarian and always brought home the perfect books for me to read. I love helping my students find those perfect books to encourage their love of reading.

I hope that through this program I can learn more ways to reach even more students through Hip hop. I am excited to learn new methods of engaging with young people. I look forward to utilizing what I learn to create a library for our school, something which is lacking right now.

I bring to this program years of experience in literacy education and an enthusiasm for, and openness to new ideas and concepts. I am a life-long learner and am ready to learn. I can't wait to get started!
