6.6 WSU Computing and SISTech

C&IT provides services and resources that support and enhance WSU’s teaching, learning, research, and administrative activities. C&IT’s primary goal is to provide technology services that enable our students, faculty, and staff to be successful at WSU. C&IT provides the following services: AccessID & accounts, academic services (Canvas, Qualtrics, Zoom), Administrative services, and communications and collaborations. 

Support for university-wide technology is provided by Wayne State University Computing & Information Technology (C&IT). C&IT can assist you if you need a password reset, have trouble accessing the VPN, or have other technology issues with university-wide infrastructure such as Canvas and Microsoft Office Suite. The C&IT Help Desk is available Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m., to 8 p.m. by calling 313-577-4357, by emailing helpdesk@wayne.edu or by submitting a help desk ticket.

Additional Technology support at SIS is provided by students, for students. Our techs are MLIS and MSIM students who are eager to help you with tech problems outside of the scope of C&IT. If our student techs are unable to resolve an issue, they will direct you to who can help. SIS Tech also provides resources and tutorials that may be of use.  If you encounter any tech issues or have any technology questions, just fill out a SIS Tech Virtual Appointment Request
