Financial Aid
Significant financial assistance is available to new and continuing students in the School of Information Sciences. Scholarships, graduate student assistantships, work-study opportunities, and federal student loans are available. International students are not eligible for financial aid but may be eligible for program scholarships or assistantships.
Federal student loans can be an option for graduate students who need assistance with educational expenses. Complete details are available from the Office of Student Financial Aid on how to apply for federal aid. Note: graduate students must be registered at least half-time (4 credits) at the time your loan funds are disbursed.
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at Wayne State University annually administers financial aid funds from federal, state, university and private sources. Some financial aid programs are need-based, other programs are non-need based, and awards are given in recognition of special skills, talents, or academic ability. Financial Aid at Wayne State is awarded in the form of a "package" and generally consists of four types of aid: grants, scholarship, loans, and employment.
Graduate Student Assistantships (GSAs) are available through WSU's Library System. Please visit our Student Employment page for more information.
Please visit the Diversity Scholarships page to see a list of scholarships for students from under-represented backgrounds.
