Document Storage and Retention
SIS students are expected to maintain back-up copies of all work submitted during their time in the School. It is not the responsibility of the School, its staff or faculty, to retain copies of student work. Access to copies of student work are especially important at the end of a program of study since course artifacts (i.e., examples of student work) are an important component of the Graduation Assessment learning outcomes assessment process required for graduation.
Wayne State University provides its students with multiple technology options for electronic document storage and retention. The technologies currently available include OneDrive (as part of the Microsoft Office suite) and Blackboard's content collection feature. External options include computer hard drives, usb drives, and cloud storage services (e.g., Dropbox).
